Review :

American Idol watchers know that 2007 winner Jordin Sparks can master just about any musical style, but it's when she steps out as a soul diva that she really shines. Her self-titled debut is filled with slow- to medium-tempo songs with a pop slant that shows off her gorgeous voice. Favorites include "Next to You," "No Air" (featuring Chris Brown) and "One Step At a Time." A few more uptempo songs would have helped break up the album a bit, but this a strong debut for this newcomer.
